More abnormal Things is set in the anecdotal rustic town of Hawkins, Indiana, during the mid 1980s. The close by Hawkins National Laboratory apparently performs logical research for the United States Department of Energy, yet furtively does tests into the paranormal and heavenly, including those that include human guineas pigs. Coincidentally, they have made an entrance to a substitute measurement, "the Upside Down". The impact of the Upside Down begins to influence the unconscious occupants of Hawkins in disastrous manners.
