Dark Sails is set around two decades before the occasions of novel Treasure Island and during the Golden Age of Piracy. Dreaded Captain Flint expedites a more youthful group part as they battle for the endurance of New Providence island. In 1715 West Indies, the privateers of New Providence Island compromise sea exchange the district. The laws of each socialized country pronounce them hostis humani generis, adversaries of all humankind. Accordingly, the privateers hold fast to a teaching of their own war against the world. Genuine privateers who are fictionalized in the show incorporate Anne Bonny, Benjamin Hornigold, Jack Rackham, Charles Vane, Ned Low, Israel Hands and Blackbeard.
